Daily Eats #2

Hi, all! I hope you had a great holiday.  I’m back with another day of “What I Ate in a Day” to provide a few healthy food and meal examples.  I swear, I don’t always take pictures of everything I eat… just the pretty stuff 😊

So let’s get started!

A Few Examples of Healthy Food

daily eats hygge wellness samantha vander wielen health coachFor breakfast, I had this Banana Oatmeal with unsweetened almond milk, cinnamon, mashed banana, and a tablespoon of applesauce.  It was simple & quick to throw together, but also so good!

I also had some (unpictured) earl grey and English breakfast tea with cashew milk throughout the day.  I can’t get enough tea this time of year!

After working all morning, I ran out for a quick lunch at Rastelli’s Market with a friend.  I got this delicious Grilled Chicken Svoulaki sandwich on fresh grilled pita bread which also had lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Tzatziki spread on it.

I worked for the rest of the afternoon and had a small container of unsweetened applesauce with cinnamon that I packed and brought with me to work.

To thank my husband for running a bunch of errands with me after work, we went to his favorite place on earth — Chipotle! Kidding, kidding… I think Amsterdam might be his favorite place on earth.

I got a chicken burrito bowl with chicken (obviously), pinto beans, brown rice, veggies, mild/hot/corn salsas, lettuce, and a tiny bit of cheese.  Of course I got guac on the side… and yes, I know it costs extra 😋
